Obama and Boehner to Golf This Month

President Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio, may not have much in common except for their golf hobby and cigarette addiction.

The president quit smoking last year, his aides say, but he and Boehner will have some bonding time on June 18 when they golf together in the DC area.

Weeks ago the president invited the Speaker to join him on one of his regular golf outings. Today their schedulers finally found a time when both could do it.

Mr. Obama is one of the most avid golfers in presidential history, having golfed at least 68 times as of May 15, according to CBS News Radio?s Mark Knoller, including on the day Special Forces killed Osama bin Laden.

In April, the president told Hearst Newspapers that golfing is ?the only excuse I have to get outside for four hours at a stretch."

Golf Digest says�Obama's handicap is anywhere from 16 to 24, with Boehner's between 5 and 8.

"I'm sure I'll have to give him strokes," Boehner, a member of two clubs, said in January.

During his speech at the 2009 White house Correspondents Dinner, Obama suggested he and Boehner have something else in common, joking that Boehner ?is a person of color, although not a color that appears in the natural world.?
